Luis A. Jusino Jr is a certified compliance professional who has been serving the healthcare community for nine years. In this time, Luis has served in various roles relating to healthcare compliance for large hospital healthcare systems, large physician specialty practices, and most recently as the Manager of Compliance and Audit for Healthfirst, A New York City Health Insurance Company that provided Medicare, Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Commercial and Managed Long-Term Care services to 1.2 million members.  In these various roles, Luis has managed the compliance and privacy responsibilities from several different arenas including, a healthcare system that maintained five hospitals, two skilled nursing facilities, and a three-county certified home healthcare agency, and a 2000+ provider anesthesiology group that provided anesthesiology services in 10 states throughout the US. In this time, Luis created and implemented a centralized, compliance and privacy program that allowed for the compliance program to evolve around the growth of the organization and maintain sustainability.  Luis has been a keen asset to ensuring facilities not only maintain compliance but is also known to collaborate with all members of an organization to educate and advise on growing aspects of healthcare compliance as regulations within the healthcare industry continue to evolve. Luis also obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health from New York Medical College, and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biochemistry from Purchase College, SUNY. Luis is certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) and Health Care Privacy Compliance (CHPC).
